Manage your mortgage

There are a number of actions you may wish to take during the life of your mortgage. In this section you can find information on how to manage your mortgage with us.

Amending your payments
Find information on amending your payments and what you need to do if you need to change your Direct Debit or Standing Order.
Transfer of equity
If you are changing the legal ownership of your home by adding or removing someone from the mortgage, such as in case of a marriage or a divorce, you need to complete a transfer of equity. This process can be complex and you will usually need to involve a solicitor. If you want to change the ownership of your home please contact us and we will be happy to take you through the process.
Moving home
If you are moving home, you may be able to move your existing mortgage with you through a process known as porting. However, since we are now unable to offer additional borrowing to existing customers, if you are moving home and are hoping to borrow more money, you will need to move your mortgage to another lender.
Borrowing more money
Following nationalisation we are now only able to offer further loans in exceptional circumstances. Find out what your options are for borrowing more money if you need to increase your borrowing.
Paying off your mortgage
If you are looking to sell your home or have some surplus capital, you might want to pay-off and redeem your mortgage early. We have therefore provided information about the redemption process to explain how we will make this as easy as possible for you.
